The forums are going to be upgraded in the next few days - hopefully.

During the upgrade we are closing the forums to prevent posts not being available in the new forum.

The forums will probably be closed for at least 24 hours and possibly up to 3 days. This is a major task as we are converting into a completely new format.

The upgrade will provide a much better and up to date forum script and this can eventually be blended with the main site.

It will also fix the major problem of new users not being able to register.

So please stay tuned to our
facebook page
for updates  ... and enjoy some of our wonderful addons!

THANKS FOR THE WARNING! Grin
I hope all goes well, as I'm starting to feel simV withdrawl symptoms coming on.

Well it has been postponed again as we need to do some more updates to our OS on this server.

So for the time being all is as normal.  Smiley

Thanks for the heads up. My opinion and adviseis exactly what you are doing - get your "ducks in a row first" and then execute the plan. Take your time, do it once, do it right. Best of luck with the op.

As I asked in the FS9's section, is there a chance for the new forum to be Tapatalk compatible?  Smiley

PS
Is all this noisy silence on this matter a no? If the compatibility with Tapatalk is not planned, it's not the end of the world. I was just asking (and hoping... but the hope at the very least SHOULD be granted). Huh

Strategic,

My guess is that such minor issues are at the bottom of a LONG list of thngs that Pete is dealing with at the moment.

As you can see....... it is taking a lot longer than was planned.  That should tell you something about the difficulty of maintaining all of the background stuff that is on the forums already... and moving all that massive content to a new system.

None of us Mods know if that is going to be the case, and Pete is busy with very large fish to fry.

best,

.....................john

Thanx for all the time and efforts y'all put into this site!

Simviation is far and away the best sim site in my humble opinion.

I love the smell of radials in the morning!
