Downloaded the AlfaSim T34A, originally for FS2004. I am using it with Win7 in FSX.  Everything is fine EXCEPT the landing gear wheels show when the window opens and immediately disappear, showing only a halo of the tires.  I have reinstalled a number of times but cannot clear this problem.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jim

This is a common problem with FS9 textures in FSX. You can fix it easily with DXTBmp. http://www.mnwright.btinternet.co.uk/programs/dxtbmp.htm

Run DXTBmp & click File > Open. Find & open the file named jcwheels.bmp in the T-34 texture.A1 folder.
Click Alpha > Invert Alpha.
Click File > Save As > Extended Bitmap.
Select DXT3 format & save it in the original location. Overwrite the existing file when prompted.

Try it in FSX. Select the "Bare Metal" variation.

If that fixed the problem paste a copy of the modified file into the other Texture folders of the T-34.
