This is specifically a FS9 question.
Ok so Ive been wanting to try FS9 because i havent used it in a while.
So i installed it and ran it at 1600x900x32 with everything at full and i only got a maximum of around 60 FPS
Weird how on FSX at the same resolution and everything on High i get a max of around 100 fps.
So is their a way i can increase it or no?
Now i know that soo much isnt needed but its my OCD that i need more then 60 FPS
here are my specs
http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2460986

Now that is enought to run it I know.

Also on a seperate note how do i jump into a multiplayer session?

We happy bunch of FS 2004'ers would be delighted to know why you decided to give FS 2004 a try, after using your FSX... Wink...!

You Hardware spec is indeed very capable of running either Sim very successfully, whereas, for many of us, our Hardware falls very short of the required FSX spec... Cry...!

Don't forget, we have spent quite a few years, adding all sorts of amazing goodies to our FS 2004's, to make them very pretty... Kiss... Grin...!

Regarding Multiplayer...its easy-peasy, joining in FS 2002 and FS 2004 using FS Host....FSX for FS Host requires and extra click or two...but it all works fine....

...you must join us!... Smiley...!

Paul...FS 2004...FS Nav...(and FSX)... Cool...!

Note: Simviation has its own Multiplayer Server!

You should get fps in fs9 higher than fsx.

You need to play around with the fs9 settings. Dont max it out. Start at default and then go up. Be sure to set the screen right and try to set AA and AF on the gpx.
After each change, restart the sim.

In the ATI Catalyst Control Center, check your "Wait for verticle refresh" settings. If it isn't already, set the slider to performance, and see if that changes anything.

Why do I want to play FS9? Eh i wanted to see how it would run and maybe run it on my laptop.
Flight Sim was my child hood
I remember back when i was 3 i played FS2000 on my dads pc but then the discs got scratched so i cant reinstall it  Sad
And im gonna just set everything to ultra high and not move any sliders that were up to the highest

I've, still got my FS'98, FS 2000, FS 2002, FS 2004, and FSX on my hard drives, plus lots of other Flight Simulators, (etc), dating back to the early 1980's.
Its fun to try them out every now and again, to observe their progress over the intervening years!
My present Hardware will run FS 2004 with everything maxed, but it struggles with FSX...so I stick to FS 2004 for enjoyment!
