This thread is being posted with the intention of letting members list their favorite freeware add ons for FSX. There will also be a payware add on sticky in the payware section.

If you're going to add to the list, please provide links to the item you're recommending and
add anything you'd like as long as it's freeware.

Here are a few of my favorite freewares to get things started:

T-45 Goshawk by Dino Cattaneo

Kauai and Niihau Photoreal scenery by Rich Sorochak

Nimitz Aircraft Carrier Package by Javier Fernandez and AI Carriers by Lamont Clark

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

The best scenery I've found out there is Sunskyjet's Philadelphia International Airport. It is better than most payware addons. It is pretty FPS friendly and works well with WOAI and other ai addons. The best part: ITS FREE! Even if you don't fly to big airports, this'll make you want to. Download it now; you wont regret it. http://www.sunskyjet.com/index.html

Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

Thank you for your kind comments on our J 35 Draken.  Smiley

As bass pointed out, the version in the Simviation archives is only for FS9, and I don't think it is up to date. The latest versions for FSX and FS9 can only be downloaded from the Bookmark website.
Our own user forum shut down last year (you can read the full story on the website), so if you need technical support of any kind, please email me (through our website).

Happy flying!  /Tom

Nah but it requires the fsuipc addon, that turned me off to it because my fsx is so delicate, an addon program like that will likely do some fsx fatal errors for me  Angry

Sorry, but using FSUIPC is needed to make the TFR work. Without that you might as well be flying an Airbus. Grin

Haha. Is it possible just to use it without it?

This thread is not for discussion. Please just post links to your favorite freeware aircraft/sceneries.

Please keep the clutter down. People are not going to want to scroll through three pages of posts that add no value to the thread Wink

For those who like really detailed and very true-to life scenery , I'd suggest a look at the "VVTorino.it" site for Aeritalia (LIMA) and Caselle (LIMF) airports. LIMA was the former city airfield up until about 1956 and is currently the home of the Aeroclub Torino. Caselle is the major city airport. Among other things, practically all the smaller local airports are also faithfully reported. Eye candy in abundance!  Cheesy
