Well I picked up the IRIS F-15E from PC Aviator during the sale. Gorgeous like their other planes and the bomb effects are cool. Still no where near the Superbug in my opinion though
First take off, notice the afterburner lighting on the tail
Cruising around checking out the FDE
Really nice vapor effects
Going up for another flight
This thing really likes to go fast or else you're at a high AOA
Over beautiful Orbx scenery
Thanks for looking

Very nice shots, especially the one with the condensation effect on the wings.
I'm still totally undecided between the two F-15s. The IRIS one looks nicer, but I'm pretty sure I might be dissappointed by the realism of the avionics...
Got bloom ?
Got mountains ?
Got damage ?

I agree about shot #3....WOW
Just out of curiosity, Daube are you comparing the Milviz and the Iris F-15.....if so, I'm having the same problem
The $20 price tag on the Iris bird is beginning to sway me though
"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

I haven't flown this that much yet but here's a quick pros/cons.
Pros:
Gorgeous modeling inside and out
Awesome VC front and rear
Great effects (lighting, explosions, etc)
Ordinance manager works on the fly, literally, via override switch
Very fun to fly aggressively
Cons:
Iffy engine start up (fires off before adding fuel or doesn't fire when you do)
Random flameouts during cruise (I need to research the manual to see if I'm somehow out of operating limits)
Bombs\missiles disappear then reappear directly under the center of the aircraft when firing/dropping
Seems like missiles become ai when fired because the radar locks onto the fired missile and tracks it as such while displaying LOCK/SHOOT
Aircraft seems to have electrical power at times when it shouldn't
Shakes violently left/right while braking after landing (could be that I don't have pedals so it's all on instead of slow pressure)
I can't really give a full systems review because I haven't gotten into it that in depth yet, but I think it's a lot more than their A-10/C-27 that I have, but less than the Superbug.
Again take that for what its worth because I still have low seat time, but I think it's good buy for what it costs right now for sure.

I did and it's fantastic!
I THINK I've solved my flameout issue and it was pilot error
This thing really is a blast to fly I'm liking it more and more each time I take it up. I'd say jump on the sale if you were thinking of getting it because it is a good deal.
I'll post my bombing run pictures a little later and sorry Boise

They came up with a fix for that (from there
F-15 Development facebook page
),
Quote:
Hello Everyone,
We noticed a few people having issues with Braking, it simply has too much power causing the aircraft to deviate from course and lose control. This will help fix that issue.
go into your "Aircraft.cfg"
search for
[brakes]
toe_brakes_scale = 2.50
... and change to:
[brakes]
toe_brakes_scale = 1.00

Sorry I missed your question !
Yes indeed, I'm hesitating with the MilViz one. It's the only other choice anyways.
