Wondering whos tired of having Bright White Cockpit lights ?? I may have found a cool fix, to turn your cockpit lights Red,, not real bright, but, better than feeling like your in an Emergency Room waiting for surgery ! I'm playing around with it right now,,, I'll get back with you all soon as I make sure it works in most aircraft default and add on's,, Stay Tuned !!
Just switch your cockpit lighting out with lights from another plane.
This is the lights section from the default King Air 350 aircraft cfg.
[LIGHTS]
//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit
light.0 = 3, 0.56, -28.41, 1.97, fx_navred ,
light.1 = 3, 0.56, 28.41, 1.97, fx_navgre ,
light.2 = 3, -31.20, 0.00, 9.75, fx_navwhi ,
light.3 = 2, 0.89, -28.48, 1.87, fx_strobe ,
light.4 = 2, 0.89, 28.48, 1.87, fx_strobe ,
light.5 = 1, -26.30, 0.00, 9.89, fx_beacon ,
light.6 = 2, -4.55, 0.00, -1.85, fx_strobe ,
light.7 = 4, 4.91, 0.00, 1.64, fx_vclight,Find cockpit lighting that you like and switch it with fx_vclight.
If you're into red, Tim Conrad's planes have deep red cockpit lighting.
