Oh and did you get the external FPS limiter to work?
I've been trying to get it to work for ages but to no avail...

These external limiters have never convinced me, I always got terrible results.
I went for the one and only technique that gave me satisfaction:
- Bufferpools disabled in the FSX.cfg (UsePools=0)
- FSX internally limited to 30 FPS
- water set to High 2x
- Texture_Bandwith_Mult adjusted to the value that would kill the artefacts, 40 to 70 should do.
