Hi all,

After seeing the topic made by Ironhand about a FSX Ercoupe, I realize that people here might not be aware about an all new freeware Ercoupe, recently (some days ago) released for FSX. It is a real FSX model, so it will not work in FS9.

The virtual cockpit is really nicely modelled and fully clickable. The two "doors" on the panel can be opened, inside you will find the map and the GPS I believe. Please note that if you are using a "cold and dark" flight, this plane has no generator switch and no avionics switch either. In my cold and dark situation, the avionics are OFF, which means that after starting the engine, I need nevertheless to use CTRL+E in order to get my avionics turned ON automatically by the sim. The real solution would consist in creating a new cold and dark default flight with avionics ON, but I'm too lazy for this Wink

The exterior model is trully excellent, with a nice attention to details. For example, the various small elements like the antennas and the fuel gauges will keep shaking with engine vibrations Smiley The model shape is very smooth with a lot of polygons, and the textures are quite nice as well. By the way, you have the choice between high resolution 2048 standard package, or an alternative "lite" package with 1024 textures only, for smaller download size  Cool

The plane is available at ClassicWings and will most likely not be uploaded anywhere else, just like any other plane from that site. You can get it there: http://www.classicwings.net/freeplanes/Ercoupe/ercoupe.html
Included in the package are four versions of the plane:
- classic fixed gears (as in my screenshots)
- taildragger
- retractable gears
- floats
A must have for the GA pilots  Cool
