Hi Guys!
I know...The only time I call you is when I NEED somthing..I'm one of those...We all know one of those! Grin  Anyway my puzzler
is this, I can't remember the plane this happend to at the time of this posting but i'll find it and let you know.  when I loaded it for the first time, as soon as FS9 loaded,  the plane was jumping around like a jumping bean.  So I thought it might have been over weight so I set all weight settings to 'zero', then when I restarted FS9 the plane bounced a couple times then (With cold cockpit) floated away to about 20,000 and just sat there,Nose up!   Thanks A Mil For Any Help!

Sup Blaze...
I'd be willing to bet that the aircraft in question was ported over to FS9 from an earlier sim. I've seen it a few times. I can't go into it now, but if memory serves, the problem is in the aircraft.cfg file.

Specs: Asus Crosshair nForce 590 SLI,
AMD Athlon X2 6400+ w/ZeroTherm BTF90,
4GB G.Skill PI Series DDR2-800,
Sapphire HD4870 512MB,
PC P&C 750 Quad, in a CoolerMaster HAF932

Sounds like a contact points issue.

Please let us know which aircraft it is and which Sim it's for, there might already be a cure out there Undecided

Ok..I finally found the plane in question!
It's the "Dreamworks Dash 8 Q-400" With the "Westjet" Textures. "Model by:Tommy Hannson and Flight Dynamics by:John Cillis" For -FS9-.  Now I have to tell ya something..I started it up again tonight and it wasn't as bad at all.
It bounced on it's front gear two or three times then settled down. Undecided  O K!
HEEAH MULE!    This might sound stupid but can some FS9 Default airports cause this to become worse on some planes or dose that have nothing to do with it?   Sorry it took so long to get back to you guys.
Thanks for your help on this puzzler!

OK, so it's a native FS9 model after all. Embarrassed

So, I did a little "Googleing" and found this.

The Dreamwings site has either expired or moved, (can't find it anymore), but I'd start by changing the "point.0" contact points as mentioned.

There also seems to be an issue with weight loading. Found this. There you'll find a partially modified aircraft.cfg file. If you have the slow/no takeoff issue, those corrections should be helpful.

I'll see if I can find a link to the model in question, and try it later.

**Is this the one?**

**EDIT**
I just tried the model in the link above. Aside from it being WAY overweight by default, it doesn't seem to suffer the hopping issue. Might be worth the download and try?

That's cool Thanks Groundbound, Yes that's the plane in question, the 54Mb, "Third" one down on the list. Man GB Thanks for going all out in finding a solution to my problem.
I really wish it had a VC cause the panel is a nice one.  Hey, I have a question for ya,  On the "OpenSky" planes, I wounder why they have a "VC" panel.Cfg but no "VC" textures?
I was wondering if you may know something on that.  Cause I would kill to have a VC in there 747's.   I don't guess I could take the VC textures from say...There 777 class jets and use them on the 747?
That's funny...You do kinda look like that cat from "Myth Busters"     Later Bro     Blaze
