This is my Airport Scenery & Aircraft just South of ORBX's Bowerman, I'm at "KAST" Astoria, Oregon. One of planes has a dead battery.

Very cool set of shots.
I think you should use more the "special" views in FSX, those that allow you to get the plane our of the center of the screen. In this way, you would get able to avoid the useless empty ground in the bottom half of the shot !
A view like "from right wing to cockpit", usually available on all the default planes, should allow this.
Got bloom ?
Got mountains ?
Got damage ?
