Okay so I was a bit slow in realizing there are now not one, but two F-15s available for FSX. Didn't know Iris was even doing one. I need to pay more attention. Anyway, so which one is better? I have products from both Milviz and Iris and I love them all. I see that with the Milviz plane you can track air or ground targets and shoot them with real ordinance, not just imaginary. That's a big plus. I know the Iris plane has ordinance and you can release it but does it track targets and go boom, etc? And, the Iris plane is almost $50! That's a bit steep. I hope it's worth it. So guys (and gals?), which Mudhen is better?  Undecided

Something I wrote on another thread,

Quote:
Iris did do an amazing job on the Mudhen, a big systems upgrade from their previous jets - the only let-down (if you can call it that) is in the weapon systems and radar.  Missiles can only be can only be locked on visually (you can't selected a target via the A/A radar) and the only A/G mode is CDIP.  Additionally, missiles don't fly to the target, they just shoot straight forward after it’s released - and the only radar mode (if I'm not mistaken) is TWS.

They said they plan to integrate the TacPack in order add more realistic weapon modes/behavior, and they're looking into adding more radar modes.

As of right now (this was writen a little over a month ago) it has a lot of problems, they are, however, working on a SP – they released a public beta of it about a month ago, and it’s getting a thumbs up.

On the plus side, the weapons modes/systems and radar are fully functional and comparable to the Superbug, in fact, it has 2 things on the 'Bug.
1) A/A missiles will destroy AI aircraft (once hit the plane will fire-ball to the ground) and A/G ordnance will destroy autoget and taxing AI.
2) If you are within the blast radius of a bomb when it goes off, your plane will experience damage.

Additionally, they have released 5 missions and AI traffic (for 13 different AFBs around the world) for the Mudhen.

Milviz has since then released the SP.  I haven’t read too much on it, so I can say whether or not the issues have been fixed.

From what I could read on one of the French forums where I'm registered, a forum which is more "military-oriented", the IRIS is already very nice, but the MilViz (with its SP applied) is now the addon that comes closest to the VRS SuperBug.
