I believe it has been moved to the "payware screenshots" section. The one with the P-47 is there.
Got bloom ?
Got mountains ?
Got damage ?

Ahhh...OK. Thanks. I figured it was OK here, since the theme was an aircraft on fire and not "look at this neat piece of payware".
Oh well. I've posted twice in these forums and both times run afoul of the particular forum's rules. Discouraging.

Don't be discouraged Rich, my posts get moved about too! Look at it this way, at least it wasn't deleted! Believe me, I've shopped around... some sites forum admins could give half a rat about your posts, but here at SimV, you're with a genuinely friendly bunch, they mean no harm!
That's why I came back...

Thanks, folks. I guess I'm just puzzled by the added complexity of the multiple screenshot forums, that's all. This is OK for one but not the other. A little of this is OK as long as it's not too much, otherwise it should be posted over there, etc, etc.
But it's OK. I'll post where I think appropriate and, if it's moved, it's moved. As long as no one will get bent out of shape over it.
Thanks again.

Hi Rich
It gets moved to payware if the main feature of the shot is a payware item ....
It is not as strict as 'anything payware' ...
.. but if it's a shot of a payware aircraft - you will always get folk asking 'hey what's the plane?' --- so it's really a 'payware screenshot'
Think Global. It's the world we live in.

I hear you. So regardless of what the stated rules are both for this forum and the payware forum, if everything in the screen is freeware or default, post it here. If there's any payware showing, post it in the payware forum. That would be best.

OK. I'll continue posting where I think appropriate and, if I run afoul of a forum's conventions, I hope you folks will move me to where you think I belong. All's well that ends well.

Rich, I understand your doubts.
Indeed, it's quite difficult to understand where a shot should be posted. But there is a simple "rule" to keep in mind, that greatly helps choosing the correct section of the forum:
- basically, when you make a shot with all payware elements, then it should go into the payware section
- if you make a shot with a mixture of freeware and payware, but the main focus is the payware element (like in your shot -> the main focus is the Accusim plane burning), then it should go to payware too.
- if you make a shot with a mixture of freeware and payware but there is no real focus, then it belongs to general/freeware section. For example, a shot with a payware plane out of focus, and an emphasis of a freeware scenery.
- if you make a screenshot with 100% freeware inside, then it belongs to freeware section as well.
Tricky isn't it ?
Just don't get discouraged by seeing your topics moved. Just post. Moving the topics is the task of the moderators, those lazy guys don't have anything else to do anyways...

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

There are way too many if-thens in that statement.
But that's OK. As an outsider, I don't understand the degree of balkanization that's taken place here. But that's OK, too. I just don't want to step on toes by posting where I'm not supposed to. As long as nobody screams...
It's time for this thread to end.
Good night all.

Oh for goodness sakes! This spot is if it's focused on the flight experience, freeware or payware. The payware is if you're jsut focusing on something payware.
Hope that helps.
