I'm well aware of Paul's Café, but there's something new in town... Me!
I was stranded, but I decided against typical 'student food', and created this thing:
Why is it European? Well, the Italians classically create one giant batch of sauce which ends up as the base for most of their foods, and I have done the same here. The sauce is actually French onion soup (my take on it, anyway). The steak and mash is typically British.
Yesterday I had the French onion soup for a midnight snack, and tomorrow I will have sausage and mash to use up the rest of it. Three meals... Done!
By the way, Morrisons produce horrific steaks! It was all thin on one side and fat on the other... You can see the uneven cooking
Cheers

Wonderful stuff...
You cant beat a nice onion gravy, made with the vegetable water...
Finely chopped onion, gently sautéd in Virgin Olive Oil or Butter...
...and added:
Chicken Stock Cube.
Vegetable Stock Cube.
Chopped Parsley.
Ground Black Peppercorns.
Green Peppercorns.
A dash of English Mustard.
Bisto Gravy Powder for browning and thickening.
...and your special gravy is sorted...
...!
Then you just need something nice to go with it...
...!
Paul...Yummy!...
...!
Late P.S...If you want to spice it up, add a bit of finely chopped red or green Chilli Pepper!

Wow...very very nice....
Now I really think we need a Forum in the General Section to supply wonderful cooking ideas and great recipes.
I know some folks are going to say this is a Forum that should deal with flying only.
Humbug and Oh Poop...
The males along with the females in our family learned to cook at home, wild game and domestic foods before leaving the nest.
That has served us all very well when bashing about the puffy wuffies in an old Douglas DC3 for six or more hours.
OR
Sitting around a cooking fire in the bush with the aircraft pulled up on shore.
Some great great meals were conjured up over an open fire.
Guitars or other musical instruments brought out and aviation was usually the topic.
No one can tell me that MAC....
Music...Aviation...Cooking do not go together...
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Nice.
You cannot go wrong with mashed potatoes, Steak and gravy.
I wonder how food roasted when you wrap it in foil and put it in your car engine
. Yum
Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

We had one cup of percolated coffee before our one mile walk and when we got home the second cup while the old girl made the above breakfast...

I'm not familiar with the cheese so I'll take your word for it. Lots of eggy bread recipes online.

I have to confess to not being keen on maple syrup.
