I'm getting error message:
"Scenery.CFG file error. Invalid remote scenery path in scenery area.115. Click ok to continue". I've tried without success fo find scenery area 115. What is it trying to tell me and how do fix it? It's not a major problem, just a pain. Thanks for any help.

You have a scenery activated in your scenery directory that is no longer in your Add-on Scenery folder.....or wherever you put your add-on scenery Smiley

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

I suspect you deleted the sub-folder named "scenery" from your FSX\Addon Scenery directory. This is activated by default even if it's empty. If this folder is missing the solution is to create one.

You can check your scenery.cfg in the main folder. There might be a conflict in area.115.

The active FSX Scenery.cfg is in the following locations depending on your OS:

(WinXP) C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\FSX

(Vista/Win7) C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX

NOT the file of the same name in the FSX main folder.

[Area.115] is the default FSX\Addon Scenery folder.

Yes, but i've seen a conflict in the default scenery folder with the same error msg, so it wont hurt to check both.

The Scenery.cfg file in the main FSX folder is different from the active one. I don't know why that should be (or why there are actually 3 Scenery.cfg files in different locations) but it doesn't appear to affect FSX. I'm 99% certain that this error message is caused by deleting the Addon Scenery\scenery folder.

Well, if the thread holder have deleted anything in the addon scenery, he would tell us!

I'm talking about the actual folder named scenery within the Addon Scenery folder. This is activated by default even though it's empty. It's not unusual for people to delete it when having a tidy up. Try deleting it yourself & see what happens.*

Until luvmywife3 responds we don't know what he did. These errors don't just happen for no reason.

*PS. I just deleted that folder myself. This is the result.

Yes Hagar.
But there is a different between thread holders error msg he quoted (if he quoted it right)

"Scenery.CFG file error. Invalid remote scenery path in scenery area.115. Click ok to continue"

and the one you get from deleting in addon scenery.

And yes, we have to wait for luvmywife3' respond.
