Sorry again guys. I am a pain in the bum  Embarrassed

I downloaded V2.

The cargo doors are working fine. Sadly the 2 following pics shows the 2nd Pax door and service doors still won't open.

...

...

I am using GSX which requires the service doors to load food stuffs and the 2nd door for pax is needed to connect stairs for boarding.

Hope you can help & sorry for the bugging  Tongue

Alex.

It is the default 737-800 just a different paint. I don't use default paints. I snapped some paints on the default 737-800.

The wingtip you are referring too is indeed there.

It is just white and the ENB faints it.

Look at this picture. This picture is the default 737-800 without the VC 2 update. The only change is the paint added.

...

...

Raoul.: The default 737-800 CAN open ALL doors.

I suggest you load a pure default 737 and open all doors.

Also if you refer to the entry points for [Exits] in the default 737-800 aircraft .cfg you will see it opens all doors as in the picture.

Mouse. What is the key command for that rear door? I tried the unmodified default 737 & can't open it. Huh

SHIFT+E opens the main door.

SHIFT+E+2 opens the cargo door.

SHIFT+E+3 Opens the back pax door and both service doors.

That is the 3 entry points in the default 737-800 cfg under [Exits].

I once again confirm this is the very standard cfg, only difference is paints.

wait!!HOLD ON THE PRINTERS ,THERE SOMETHING HAS TO BE WRITTEN THIS IS NOT A COMMON DISCOVERY THE AIRPLANES OF FSX DID NOT OPEN THOSE DOORS UNTIL NOW

YOU NEED TO OPEN THE AIRCRAFT.CFG AND IN

[exits]
number_of_exits = 2
HAS TO BE REPLACE IT BY "4"
LIKE THIS

[exits]
number_of_exits = 4

The Million Dollar Question:
Why did no one find this out before???,and why did Microsoft didn't allow it to do this ???

I believe 3 will do it.

My unmodified Aircraft.cfg Exit entries for the default 737 & 747 were the same as yours. If those doors opened on Mouse's 737 he must have been using a modified Aircraft.cfg. Possibly included with one of his repaints.

Well done Alex.

Working perfectly fine now!

Thank you a million!

I don't know how 3 came in my original .cfg but I think we made quite a discovery here  Grin

Hi and welcome , what's GSX ? any one could do it and even without being aware of it ,its a simple number that has to be change using Notepad
Yes the airplanes got hidden something that for a very strange reason Microsoft did not include in its final version

I think that's the most likely explanation. GSX needs those doors to open to work properly. http://www.fsdreamteam.com/products_gsx.html

I don't have GSX and my original aircraft.cfg also mentions 3 for the number of entries.
Most likely, it's a glitch in SP2 and Acceleration.

I updated to V2 and changed to 3 exits in cfg and now it works nice. Thank you for this great VC and for the hard work you put in! Cheesy

That's odd. I have FSX Gold + Acceleration installed.

I just installed GSX to check it out & can confirm it changed my default 737 & 747 Aircraft.cfg
number_of_exits =
value from 2 to 3.

I think when you instal GSX the installer updates all the default aircraft's cfg's to allow the door to be open.

So kudo's to the guys @ FSDT.

GSX is a program that provides ground services like refuel, air stairs, passenger bus, marshal, push back truck, catering services etc.

GSX is a gem and I am pretty sure will be used by most simmers.

QUESTION:  I'm just now getting around to Operating on one of my Aircraft CFG Files, were in the operating room now,,,,, (ER) - (Emergency Repair), so after reading all this, and you all are saying just change the "Exit numbers" from 2 to 4, do I also have to add all those other numbers after that too. because in my CFG File by default, after the number of main exits which is 2,, below that are more exit parimeters like , Exit.1 followed by a bunch of numbers - Exit .2  with more numbers.                                                           Are we only need to change the number of exits for the amount of doors we want open, on the 747-400 theres 12 doors that could open, 6 on each side , and 1 cargo door in the back starboard side near the rear at the bottom,,,,, I'm hopeing we can just change the Exits number from 2 to whatever number of doors we'd want open, and not have to fool with all those other numbers ????   I have a lot of passengers who'd like to jump out , because they don't like my flying skills in a 747 once at 47,000ft in a downward spiral  Grin Cheesy Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Shocked Shocked

Alex. number_of_exits = 3 is enough as there are only 3 exit.x entries. Front & rear cargo doors open together. Yes, it looks the same as your shots.

[exits]
number_of_exits = 3
exit.0 = 0.4,  36.6, -5.0,  3.0, 0   //openclose rate percent per second, longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum (feet), type (0=Main 1=Cargo 2=Emergency)
exit.1 = 0.4, -38.5,  4.5, -3.0, 1   //openclose rate percent per second, longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum (feet), type (0=Main 1=Cargo 2=Emergency)
exit.2 = 0.4,  33.5,  3.5, -4.0, 2   //openclose rate percent per second, longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum (feet), type (0=Main 1=Cargo 2=Emergency)

there's something I still don't know , I ask and nobody tells me

Do the 747 and the 737 NORMALLY open those doors? I mean without adding the entries [exit] 3 or 4 ???
did Daube and other felows had those doors available? he also though that that wasn't the FSX737-800 because of the doors

I'll try to test again tonight, by taking a closer look to the archive that contains my backup copy of the original 737.

There ARE three exits defined in the original aircraft.cfg, that's for sure. It's the "number of exits" that I can't remember...

I run FSX SP2

I started with pristine default aircraft and .cfg's and both the 737 and 747 had......

[exits]
number_of_exits = 2

This only opened the front main exits, <Shift+E> and the cargo doors, <Shift+E, 2>. This is the way it's alway been.

After edit to 'number_of_exits = 3', <Shift+E, 3> opens all remaining exits (except for the over wing emergency exits on the 737).

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.          Igor Sikorsky

Yes, that's correct on the 737

737-With 'number_of_exits=3' all 4 pax doors and 2 cargo bays open. The over-wing emergency exits don't open.

On 747, with 'number_of_exits=3', all visible doors and cargo bays open.

there's something I still don't know , I ask and nobody tells me

Do the 747 and the 737 NORMALLY open those doors? I mean without adding the entries [exit] 3 or 4 ???
did Daube and other felows had those doors available? he also though that that wasn't the FSX737-800 because of the doors

No. As I said earlier the default number of exits for the B737_800 & the B747_400 is 2. Those doors did not open until I changed the number to 3.

I can now confirm that by default, my 737 had 3 exits defined in the [exits] section, but the parameter number of exits was set to 2 !
And it's exactely the same with the default 747.

alrot,
Outstanding job on this upgrade! I just found the FMC and it's better than a recently purchased payware FMC/panel I got. About to add the VC to the POSKY model as well.

Any future upgrades to the other FSX default aircraft? The CRJ VC could use some tweaking.
