Lovely update, blowing some life into a plane I never fly  Smiley

However:

I only have 2 issues I need help on:

1) I cannot seem to open my cargo bay and catering truck doors since this update  Cry I haven't remapped keys or anything, all other planes work. My catering & cargo doors are VERY important. Any changes made with regards to exit doors in the .cfg?

...

2) When I go into the menu bar and under new views. The 2D pop-up panels are no longer in English. This is no biggie if there ain't a quick solution though.

Anyone that ran into the same hick-ups that found solutions?
Thanking any help in advance  Smiley

Ok I hope you made a backup for the B737-800
please go to the saved file and copy the Aircraft.cfg ,Replace the new one with the original (Made a copy don't move it from where did you save the file) we will replace with just  a copy

then we will proceed with another test and to activate the cabin light we will do something else

I need you to test using the original Aircraft.cfg

I did some tests:

1) I first had a look at the [Exits] entries in your AC.cfg and that of the original. Yours reflect 2 and original 3. Values are the same it seems.

2) I then copied just the [Exits] entries from the original AC.cfg into your AC.cfg. That did not work.

3) I reverted the change and copied the whole original AC.cfg back into the 737-800 folder. That too did not work.

4) I then copied the whole backed-up 737-800 folder into the FSX/Aircraft folder and back is my doors.

Somewhere in the whole setup the upgrade does not allow the pilot to open 2nd pax door, cargo doors & catering doors.

Hope we can find it. Love the upgrade  Roll Eyes

Late here and I need sleep. I will do some testing tomorrow and see if I win.

Will report back.

Can another user also confirm this problem?

I'm sure that has to be with the[exits] part,I forgot that I play with that area for the making of the MD83
,I shouldn't never replace the aircraft.cfg ,I'm reisntaling my whole FSX to see the original file I'l get back here ,and mybe I will reupload the whole VC with all the fixes for once  Smiley

OMG!! Its Le_Daube's Gauge  Shocked Shocked Shocked

...

and he worked a lot and did a hard search to make that script  Shocked Shocked Shocked

please open the Panel.cfg

please delete or put a couple strips in the lines 35 here

[Window00]
//gauge35=B737_800!AutomaticAvionics,  1,1,1,1

and

here 34
[VCockpit01]
//gauge34=B737_800!AutomaticAvionics,  1,1,1,1

I'll wait to see if he can fix this conflict that this gauge its causing , its a very rare and weird conflict   Shocked

I'll wait for him to maybe reupload the whole file again

Indeed ! Thanks Flying_Mouse for this excellent feedback. I didn't test this feature because I had no idea a gauge could influence it  Undecided

So basically, the problem with my gauge is that it's "dumb". It continues setting the avionics to ON or OFF continuously, no matter if the avionics are already ON or OFF. These useless events are preventing the exits to work correctly.

I made some modifications and I managed to fix the problem. Now I get avionics ON when I set any generator ON, and the exit works as well. However, now I can't switch the avionics OFF !!  Grin

Gauge programming is tricky. I'll continue working on this. Expect a new version of that gauge in the coming days Smiley

Glad you guys found the problem.

I recently started using GSX which requires me to open the service doors. If it wasin't for that I would have most likely not spot it.

Thank you for the effort you guys put into all of this.

I never got the PMDG 737 because I just cannot Sim with anything below 30fps. The default 737 is ideal for high fps. This VC update is really amazing, going to be clocking many hours in the default 737.

What an odd thing to say. I don't think I've ever got over 30fps in FSX apart from in a cessna or something.  My PMDG737 flies around at between 20 and 25fps and I think the 5fps lose if well worth the amazing features of the PMDG model. Those extra 5fps will add far less to your experience than the super accurate cockpit and systems.
Also you have a much more powerful system than me ( I have a i7 2760qm @2.7/2.8Ghz), so why you can't get 30fps in the NGX I don't know =/

That said...I'd like to say a big well done to alrot on your upgrade to the VC! Incredible work as always.

I do not own the PMDG 737-800 so I don't know how it would perform on my rig.

From previous experience, owning the PMDG J41 and other payware the FPS quote by users are mostly in the air @ 35 000 feet.

I cannot taxi at anything less then 30fps, I cannot approach for landing in anything less the 30fps.

So what the aircraft does on the ground is what is important for me.

I can final approach at FSDT Honolulu in the default 737-800 without dropping below 30 fps, 30 been the bare low.

I just hate jerky low fps. It truly destroy the experience for me. yes I know I am somewhat full of nonsense but I come from a bush flying background in FSX and are use to high performance in even payware bush planes eg, Aerosoft Otter, Flight 1 Norman etc.

That is also why I adore posky and PA aircraft using the default 737 & A321 VC's. They are extremely easy on the frames.

Yes I know those planes are heavy on the frames because of complexity, I like my props complex, heavies lite  Smiley
