ive been playing fsx for a while then suddenly yday when i try loading it, it just stops responding everytime so i cannot get onto it. i tried uninstalling everything and re-installing and got the same problem. after looking around on the net ive seen its usually the logbook error. but i dont seem to have one (maybe coz i reinstalled it and havnt flown yet?) im using vista but ive tried C:, users, username, documents ( then theres no microsoft flight sim folder). ive also gone into C: microsoft games: microsoft flight simulator and gone through every folder in flight sim and cant find it Sad. can anyone help me get it to work?

That is where your Logbook BIN file should be...................try going to User Name/App Data/Roaming/Microsoft/FSX. If there's a FSX folder, make a back up of the folder and put it on your desktop or somewhere where you'll remember. Then delete the entire folder and  re-install FSX. It will rebuild this folder and hopefully FSX will then run. If so, delete the back up you made.....it most likely had a corrupted Cfg file.

I hope this helps you.........if not there are others here that know much much more than I do and they will definately know what to do Smiley

Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

Which OS are you using? In WinXP the path is C:\Documents and Settings\your user name\Application Data\Microsoft\FSX

This should be in the same location as fsx.cfg.

The reason you can't find App Data is because by default it is hidden. Go to Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization & click on folder options. A popup will appear, click on view, scroll down & there will be a box called hidden files & folders. Put a tick in the box called show hidden files & folders. Now App Data will be there.
