I'm still totally confused at the moment, I been online in the FSX multi-player but it just kicked me off after about 30 seconds. I've looked at VATSIM but that's just confusing.

The reason why it kicked you out, is because your trying to get into the Free flight lobby, its the biggest in FSX... so everyone does.  and I think its better because there's none of the AI stuff.

First Download FSHostClient.

Then Install it (you have to manually install)

Start FSX then start FSHostClient & put in an IP address (an open one is 203.114.130.15.) then press connect. Find an airport where others are playing & go to there.

If you want to play on the Simv server PM Fozzer for the Password (he might want a bag of cookies but if you tell him I sent you you might get it free Grin)

Then Start FSHostClient put in the Simv IP Address & the password & connect.  Smiley

Ports which must be open
(Scroll down and it will give you the ports for Gamespy)

How to port-forward
(Make sure that in your router settings, your computer is a fixed IP! Your entire internet connection won't be affected, but it will mean that ports aren't trying to forward to an IP that no longer exists)

I haven't noticed a bad effect on framerates from multiplayer. That said, it won't improve your frame rate! Try locking it to a number... I believe the SimV servers ask for it to be at 20FPS locked for consistency between users.
