FSX BAC 167 Strikemaster (Read 383 times)

As someone who flew real Strikemasters in the 70s, I was interested to see Philippe Wallaert's model appear for FSX recently.

Cockpit is nothing like the ones I flew, but maybe it derives from another variant.  But what struck me most was the vast increase in thrust over the real thing.  No way could you leap into the sky like a rocket in the real jet.

If Pillippe reads this, I suggest toning down the thurst by a large factor to get somewhere nearer realistic times to height, for example.

And there is also a lack of up elevator authority on landing that I don't remember in the real aircraft.

Download this Strikemaster it's better. It's got a VC & 2d panel. Smiley

Also Philippe Wallaert didn't make that model it was originally made by Alphasim for FS2004 I think.
