So you had success installing it into your existing fs2004 install?  When I tried to install it I got the dreaded dual coast lines and all in all I had a less then stellar experience.  Thats why i think Ill wait till I have to reinstall before I make another stab at it.

I was going to hang off for a while, Sean...

...but after days of fiddling about, I was surprised to find that I had finally got the complete download to work successfully then the next step was to purchase it, and install it, before I lost everything again!

Some Autogen objects are displaced; (bridges over rivers, buildings in water, etc.)

That Flight 1 over-complicated method of downloading and installing their programs will one day be the death of me!... Grin...!

Paul....anyone for Golf?... Roll Eyes...!

..a little bit of a shame so far...

Because of the greater accuracy? of the inland water-ways and roads, most, if not all, of the default, Autogen road/rail bridges are displaced, in respect of the roads, and width of the water-ways.
The default Autogen bridges can be omitted via UT, but this also makes the scenery unrealistic.
The best part of UT, for me, is the correct display of water-ways, (similar to FSX?) coast and inland.
The default road system is slightly enhanced, and include more urban and country-side roads.
Night-time lighting is enhanced, but most/all of my GA flights are carried out during daylight hours.
A bit of tinkering with the water textures/colours, using REX (FS2004), is worth experimenting with.
And, of course, VOZ 1.8 (free for FS 2004), with its lovely Season colours, and gorgeous Koorbygen buildings, is always a must-have!

So...with all my various add-ons, FS 2004 is getting more and more delightful, day by day!... Kiss...!

Its just a shame about the bloody bridges!... Cry....>>>  Grin...!

Many thanks, Joe... Smiley...!

That perfectly illustrates the "problem" with UT's object placements.
I'll have a good-old read through that, and see what can be done.
Very interesting... Smiley...!

Thanks again, Joe!... Wink...!

Its a bit of a shame, but I've had to switch off all the FS 2004  default Bridges to get the UT roads to appear correctly over the various UT water-ways...
..this means, for me, losing Golden Gate Bridge, Bay Bridge, Dumbarton Bridge, and the various Sacramento River road and rail bridges, etc... Cry...!

..sacrifices... Roll Eyes... Wink...!

Paul....FS 2004...bridge-less!... Roll Eyes...!

Thinks... Roll Eyes..

...might be worth-while using my copy of Abacus FS 2004, FS EZ Scenery, Scenery Designer to replace, and place the missing bridges, etc, using the default FS 2004 Objects contained in the FS 2004 Library for my favourite areas!... Smiley....!

...more work involved... Wink...!

So is it worth it Paul? I am looking into some payware to spice up FS2004. UT NA seems to be a good idea, but I am also looking for a good scenery-placer for my fly-in project and maybe even AI traffic editor.

A good flight plan creator/editor-AIFP-here:http://stuff4fs.com/open.asp?Folder=AIFP&JS=TRUE-has an excellent help file. Freeware

Scenery object placers:

Rwy12 Object Placer Program v1.2-http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1&keywords=rwy12+object+placer&categoryId=-Download program and 3 library collections. Freeware. Many other object libraries available.

Flight1's Instant Scenery 2-Payware-demo available-Easy to use as you place objects while in the sim, so 'wysiwyg'. Can place objects from any 'object libraries', including FS9 default, Rwy12 and EZ-Scenery libraries.

The main things I like about UT USA, are all the detailed placements of all the Interstate Highways and major and minor roads, Railways, and correct waterways, eg; inland rivers, lakes, and coastal lines.
Cities, etc, are also well represented.
(I've managed to live without the bridges).
This afternoon I followed the highly detailed, multi-carriageway, Interstate Highway 101 from San Francisco to San Diego, at 2-3000 Feet AGL, exactly as it appears on Google Street Map.
Next run will be Route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica!
It works very well, but note that because the rivers (wider) and roads (locations) are more accurately placed in UT, the default (size/placement) bridge objects do not match up with the scenery!
The bridges can be omitted in the UT Menu selection if required.
Overall, I am quite pleased with it, it matches the Google maps much better.
Its ideal for low-level explorations!

Not bad, for around £20!... Smiley...!

Goes well with my GE Pro, REX, and VOX 1.8, plus a few additional free-bee, scenery, bits and bobs!

Sweet Paul! I might have to invest in that soon too. I am thinking of rewarding myself on spring break with some payware. The way classes have gone this semester I am surprised I still have hair! Grin  -> Undecided ->   Cry
So some more eye candy in the sim will be much appreciated.

Hello R D W...

Thanks for the tip...
I didn't install "Howard's Mix", for fear of it overriding my many existing scenery add-ons... Wink...!
I installed UT USA instead.

Paul... Smiley...!
