Can you NOT install missions? (Read 242 times)

Can you install FSX and NOT install the missions? I really don't need them and they would only be taking up room and make it longer for FS to load.

You should be able to delete them, and that will save disk space, but I do not think your load time will change since the missions are only accessed when you want to fly one.

Missions take a very small amount of disk space and they have absolutely NO impact of the FS load time.

depends which part of the load you mean. Aircraft selection maybe? Assuming this is so, removing duplicate textures from the aircraft.cfg may cut down the load time/aircraft selection screen.
alternatively not selecting the 'show all variations' may make a difference. (bottom of aircraft thumbnail page).
I dont think that there is much you can do about the initial load. Sad
