Goodly morning all...
Downloaded a new livery for the DeHavilland Beaver on wheel/skis as there are only a couple Beavers available on skis.
Misty Moorings on this Beaver is the Dirty configuration.
My problem and question is:
What happened to the cockpit...it is all black...
I thought this was just a repaint....
FSX and Windows 7
Aircraft: Misty Moorings Beaver (one of the several
choices)
Season: Winter
Time: Noon
Location: Cottage country just north of the City of Toronto,
Ontario, Canada
Looking to do some frozen lake touch and goes
on skis.
3D Lights
HDE Clouds
Check out the Simviation Download Site for some great FSX addons...
Enroute to the lake...
Black Cockpit?
Rolling in on final...using the trees and shoreline as visual clues to the landing...
Snap...Crackle and Pop...
Comments and advice most appreciated...
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Great shots, Doug..............It looks like VC textures are missing from the download. You could open the texture folder of one that displays correctly and look for the VC bmp files and then copy them into the Misty Moorings texture folder.......I don't have this aircraft, so I don't know what they're named
"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

Very nice shots, Doug...
....
...but...
Have you thought about moving your Fleet down to the Southern USA for some nice, hot, sunny weather, for a change?...
...
...I cant cope with all this ice, snow, and freezing cold weather...
I'm getting Frostbite in my Joystick fingers!
Paul...
...
...!
P.S...nice to see you have included shadows, when the aircraft are sat on the ground...VERY important!

Doug, as said above, the folder that contains your new repaint is incomplete. I'm pretty sure it includes only the fuselage textures
What you need to do is to copy the content of one of the default ski "texture.*" folders, and paste it in your new repaint folder,
without overwritting anything
. In this way, missing files will be added, existing files will be kept.
Got bloom ?
Got mountains ?
Got damage ?

Hi Paul...
We love all four (4) of Mother Natures Seasons Paul.
If I had to choose a favourite season to do some real life aviating in I couldn't.
Now as for Flight Simulator...I will be happy to see what area I can find in the game to warm you up...
Thanks for the comments...
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

I love the last one. Looks extremely good
Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

Thanks "hyperprep111" for the comment...
The Beaver is my favourite aircraft in FSX and wonderful on wheelsl, wheel/skis, floats or amphibious floats to tour around the screen with.
It is my only Payware aircraft and hoping someone makes the DeHavilland DHC-3 "Otter" for FSX.
I suppose it is too much to think MS Flight will have a radial engine Beaver and an Otter in all configurations....
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug
