Just some shots from nav practice flights I've been doing in the default Caravan over the last week, trying to get back into things again. After 10 days 'in' the 172 the Caravan felt like a real beast - much faster, heavier, more sluggish to roll but ridiculously prone to swing its nose up or down with the slightest touch to the joystick.
I don't have screenshots from most of the flights because they were all in thick fog and I was busy trying to control this vicious monster of an aircraft....yep.
Alright, I know it's just a C208 but I'm way out of practice. We crashed once 500 m short of the runway when in a slow steepish turn with full flaps...I didn't check my instruments thoroughly enough and didn't notice we were dropping like a stone.
Having mentioned thick fog it isn't actually necessary to limit visibility at all in the Caravan for IFR practice; the 2D panel view seems to have been designed by one of Snow White's little friends as you can't see almost anything past it.
Well, hope these weren't too boring; I've another set with the C208 from Alaska to post.
Have a good week!

Great ones. Is that REX?
Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

I really like the second to last shot. Very nice colors, which give a cold winter evening/morning impression. And the default C208 doesn't look bad at all, I love the VC of that bird for example.
Got bloom ?
Got mountains ?
Got damage ?

Yes, the weather's by REX. I like the rugged Caravan a lot too, just wish it didn't swing up and down so much. I've moved onto the Baron now, it handles a lot better and has a panel that suits me too.
Thanks for the comments, guys!

The Baron might be my favorite default plane in FSX, together with the Beaver.
