I am not new to Fight Simulator having started with an edition that ran on my Apple 2C ( Albeit not very well ). I've also had every edition since. I now use FSX.
My question is this. I have always believed that when I created a Flight and then saved it, it would be saved with the plane and all the display settings.
This way I would have several different scenarios all with different display settings.
I usually save by clicking flights on the menu bar and then clicking save from the drop down menu after I have made all my setting changes. Each save has a different name.
Lately I've noticed that no mater what flight I load, it always appears to have the same display settings as the last flight I saved.
Has this been going on all along and I really didn't have different settings in my different flights even though I thought I did?
Or has something changed or am I doing something different now that causes all the display settings to be same no matter which saved flight I load

Saving your flight does not save FSX settings, only your flight. I don't think it did in any MSFS version. You can save your settings in the uhm... settings menu.

I am not totally sure about this but......
I think it is possible to save the settings for each flight as its own CFG file that you can load for each flight. When you change your settings they are saved in your C:\Users\YourName\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files under Settingd default FSX.cfg. After you set up your flight and change the settings, Go to the above CFG file and make a copy and rename it something close to your saved flight(example:Cargo_Flight_Settings). Now, before you fly a particular saved flight you can go to Settings and hit the Load button and find that file to change the settings for your flight.

Take Care,
Brett

You are correct.
Settings can be saved in the display option/save screen. I quess I misunderstood what I was saving.
Can you also save different settings in FS2004?
