(a) Have you got Win 7 Ultimate running on you computer?
(b) Have you got a copy of FSX ready to install?

(c) If so, have you tried installing FSX on your computer?

(FSX runs fine on my Win 7 Home Edition).

Paul.

When uou install it, create an FSX folder on your C drive and install it there, not in the default "program files (x86)".  That saves a lot of headaches when you install aircraft or edit your aircraft.cfg's.

hello boikat: yeah I got  ne compute with w7 ultimate this is what I'm going to do see if this is ok I will make one folder called microsoft flight the next will be a new folder called fsx and the fsx will go into the microsoft flight. when the c: program files x86 comes up I will change that to c:/microsoft  flight/fsx and let it do its thing.

or of course I could buy the fsx gold edition from a store which is w7 compatible already or maybe there is a download version for gold edition someplace on a web site.

Windows 7 is what is directing the install to Program Files (x86), so it will not make any difference what version of FSX you install. Just create the folder on the "C" drive, and direct the install to that folder.
