Hey guys,

I'm having a problem creating a route, i do in flight planner, and click on "find route" and he create the route trough the VOR's, but then i contact tower for IFR and TAXI and takeoff.  Tower tell me to head in a specific way and i go, but i go to the opposite side of my destination and if i turn A/P to follow VOR they contact me to expedite my turn and head the way they want... So what's wrong here? I will never get to destination they are sending me really away from destination -.-

If the first VOR is at or near your departure airport, delete that VOR from the flight plan.

cheers,

Follow ATC's headings until they tell you resume own navigation, then you can follow the VORs like you planned.

Are you using Flight Management Computer (FMC) or the NAV/GPS stuff? Because if you use a SID in the FMC, it may do that.  But for the NAV/GPS, deleate the first one.  I don't fly NAV/GPS anymore because its just unrealistic.

Did that took me 50 mins of flight going away from destination and the next VOR when the flight itself was around 30min, they never told me to resume.

NAV/GPS, deleted the first 1 but didn't tested yet.

I would do as atc in this case, otherwise the flight will not update until you pass close to  the first VOR then it will give you the next one or any turning point

I've seen this myself from split to leipzig, the first VOR is behind you and to your left, if you fly to the VOR by turning left you've no chance of flying over the VOR and then back onto your course before the next turning point, so your first turn is to the right.

May the Mynd be with you.
So far my number of landings either passenger or pilot equal my number of takeoffs, but that is due to change Smiley
