Hello all !

I dowloaded the ex-payware IRIS Panavia Tornado GR.4 military aircraft but ( just like a few other aircrafts ) I can't see anything outside the cockpit windows because the textures are gray instead of "see-through". You can fly the plane anyway with the default external views and mines - see below - and even land it maybe if your  a good pilot but it is not the same.

I don't know but I'm pretty sure it happens to other simmers so I'd like to offer a solution to them !

I'm not yet familiar with texture files ( bmp and dds, alpha channels and the like ) so would anyone care to help solve this problem.

I posted "camera views" packages ( 76 at this point in time ) and the Tornado is my next target if possible.  Since fighter jets are popular in terms of downloads numbers, the reward would be interesting for you too.

And yes I know about updating my video card driver but it is an ATI ( still wonder why I bought that piece of crap ) and after numerous attempt to update the driver, well it doesn't work !

Thanks for any answers,   Smiley

Here's a fix for that.

Also, you can find a much better Tornado here - it's FSX native, has a better looking & more functional VC, and the ability to customize your ordnance load-out.

have you tried the updated iris tornado

May the Mynd be with you.
So far my number of landings either passenger or pilot equal my number of takeoffs, but that is due to change Smiley

Hi !

Thanks to both of you who replied to my post.

The mig 29 bmp fixed the problem indirectly for the IRIS Tornado but I followed your suggestion and link to the alphasim Tornado and I decided to switch to the alphasim model for my project.

Thanks again !
