DO NOT
install FSX in C/Program Files.
Create a new folder on your hard drive, call it FSX or Flight Simulator X and install the sim software in that folder.

Just don't install anything from Caranado at it will force the files to be installed in the program files folder and the sim will not work. It will also scramble your computer

Buffalo cookies... Like every other installer, you can point the installation to your custom FSX location ad it will install just fine.

more cookies.
FSX won't install in program files as thats the 64bit location, either use default or choose another folder.
May the Mynd be with you.
So far my number of landings either passenger or pilot equal my number of takeoffs, but that is due to change

There is a fix for the Win 7 lockup. Look for "uiautomationcore.dll", and install it in your FSX folder.
