The Historic Jetliners Group (HJG) has pleasure announcing a "TWO-IN-THE-ONE" website update ...featuring the latest texture and panel releases for its B707, B727, CV990, DC8, and DC9 flightline for FS2004/FSX

New textures for HJG's classic B707's and DC8's include...

The colorful yellow/black/white livery of British registered B707-120B from the late 1970's;

14 variations of identities supported by the DC8-20's and -50's operated by a major but no longer existent classic US/Miami based airline ...some of which are either long forgotten or much lesser known ...and among which this operators colorful and extremely rare "DC-8B" titled color scheme from 1959 as well as an experimental livery from the mid 1960's are represented.

A combination of 5 new and upgraded identities featuring colorful and rare 1980'/90's era DC8-50 FREIGHTERS from Colombia and Peru.

And ...a new INS equipped CV990-A panel and supporting CONVAIR PANELS GAUGES/CORE FILES package ...which conclude these latest releases HJG's classic 4-engine narrow-body flightline.

BUT ...THERE'S MORE TO IT THAN JUST THIS ALONE...

New textures for the HJG hosted VISTALINERS B727's include...

A rare Caribbean/Antilles based B727-100C from the late 1970's.

And ...the red/white/blue 1980's era color scheme of a French charter airline; 2 variations of livery supported by aircraft flown by a major US/Denver based operator ...and among which this airlines Pacific division is also represented ...each for the B727-200 ADVC.

The latest HJG DC9 textures include...

The early 1980's interim/hybrid identity supported by an aircraft operated by a prominent but no longer existent domestic airline from Colombia ...for the standard PAX configured DC9-10.

And for the CONVERTIBLE DC9-10 ...3 variations of attractive green/blue/white 1980's era color scheme applied to aircraft operated by another major but no longer existent US/Miami based carrier.

A selection of 14 attractive liveries representing various airlines from the Canary Islands, Jamaica, and Venezuela ...covering the 1970's, 80's, 90's and  more recent times... all for the standard PAX configured DC9-30.

And for the CONVERTIBLE DC9-30 ...3 variations of identity supported by aircraft operated by the US military between 1980 and 2005.

And last but by no means least of all ...the current attractive dark blue/red/yellow/white color scheme of a DC9-50 flown by a major operator from Venezuela.
AND ...IN ADDITION TO ALL OF THAT...

An unpublicized website update during "MAY 2011" resulted in HJG releasing an assortment of new B720, B727, DC8, and DC9 textures ...covering aircraft and operators from Africa, the Caribbean, Canada, Europe, the Middle East, the Pacific, Scandinavia, the USA, and Venezuela ...and representing the 1960's until more recent times.

Work also continues to progress HJG's flightline of new MD80 TYPE aircraft ...with the very first picture previews of some of these subjects now being published on the "PREVIEWS" page of the HJG website !

For further and more in-depth information relating to this latest HJG website update please read announcements on the "NEWS" page of the HJG website forum.

ALL THIS AND A GREAT DEAL MORE ...is available from the following website address...

Thanks "OZZY" .... on both counts there ! Wink Wink

I called this update a "TWO-IN-THE-ONE" .... because we also released some new stuff during May, but, being back home in Colombia, at the time, I never had time to write a PR to cover it Sad .... SO .... I made reference to it within this latest PR Smiley

We've got another surprise comming up for Christmas release .... which we hope the public will enjoy too ! Smiley

Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

We won't be producing our own panel/gauge sets for the MD's, but rather, like was done with the L1011's, we'll likely select candidate versions of existing panels for modification/improvement and for use with our aircraft. We have 4 target panels of interest, at this time, which we feel do meet our basic requirements, and which would like to be able to further develop  .... subject to the appropriate authorizations being procured beforehand.

I can tell you there will be 5 variations of MD-80 aircraft .... as follows ....

MD-81
MD-82
MD-83
MD-87
MD-88

The MD-81/82/83 versions will each be supported 2 models featuring both the early DC9 TYPE and later modified "chisel shaped" rare fuselage tail cone .... whereas the MD-87/88 versions will each be supported by 1 only model featuring the modified rear fuselage tail cone.

There will also ve an MD90-30 model as well .... BUT .... this aircraft version will likely not make the next website update.

In addition to this ....

Each aircraft base pack will be supported by superb FDE files, a host of both historic and recent textures .... and .... we'll also be releasing an AEROMUSIC P&W JT8D-217 soundpack for these aircraft and which will provide the appropriate quality  audio/tones for most. Other MD/B717 TYPE soundpacks are also being worked on, but, might not be ready in time for the next website update.

A phenominal amount of work is still required in order to complete/ready this particular project for release ! Roll Eyes Smiley Grin
