Oh no!
That came as a big surprise to me.
I knew he was very poorly, but I didn't know that he was so close to death!
He was recently on stage showing Apple's latest products.
Being a dedicated 8-bit Computer programmer myself, I followed Bill Gates and Steve Jobs closely ever since the 1970's.
I shall miss him!
Paul.

We've lost someone who made a big difference in the world and moved us forward. We all owe a lot to Steve Jobs. He will be missed.

This came as a big surprise to me too.
I know Steve Jobs has had a huge impact on my life(I'm typing this with an iPod Touch), and he has helped shape the modern computer industry into what it is today.

I thought my colleague was joking when he told me this, this morning!
Whilst not an Apple fan I can't deny Jobs did do a lot to change the electronic world and how we interacted with computers (his pinching the GUI idea from Palo Alto still being one of the greatest heists in history to not be made into a movie)
RIP Steve.

I'm sure there is a Steve Clone out there somewhere... I mean, he learnt to clone most of his products
But no, I never really liked Apple products and I don't think I would ever buy one; the fear of being out dated so quickly puts me off. It would be interesting to see how the company develops. Sure, he wasn't with Apple for a while this year, but given a year or so I think we will see some big changes. Hopefully the new products will be slightly more customer-upgrade friendly, but they won't have the same genius behind them.

That was a revolutionary man. Tablets, Smartphones and even computers might never have been as good as they are now. Apple has It's up's and downs like everything else
. But It also changed the way we had tech
. RIP Steve
. The new guy better do a good job. P.S It's good to have control of what comes in and out but apple needs to loosen the grip a little.
And Steve Jobs had the same Birthday as me
Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

Steve was a HUGE contributor to our world. A rare talent indeed. Not many people of his stature will emerge in any century.
God obviously feels Steve's needed up there ....
Taken WAY too soon. Very, very sad.
I am not an Apple groupie but have always admired the products and innovation -- & Steve did more too - his involvement in creating Pixar for example.

A brilliant life, and a brilliant vision. Others had thought of smaller, more ubiquitous computing before, but he was one of the few willing to try to make it practical. Did a very good job of it, too- it's a shame he did not have more time to do even more.
