Hi guys, here’s another example of merging screenshots with photographic BGs. The obvious advantage is near photo-real images, albeit getting results involves considerations we don’t have to deal with taking a screenshot which automatically provides us with both acceptable blending and lighting. Until an AC cut from a screenshot is blended into a photograph and the AC’s lighting is adjusted to fit the lighting in the BG, it can look like a duck out of water. Also, in this instance with the AC’s proximity to the water, we have to consider ground shadows and reflections. Finally, any component of the AC that is transparent has to be removed or remnants of the screenshot BG will be transplanted to your new BG. This applies generally to props, see through glass panels and/or canopies. For this image I’ve used two screenshot views of a Simviation's Stearman. The editing was done in Photoshop. Thanks for looking. Enjoy………… Ziggy

Gorgeous edit Ziggy, spot on.
If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Thanks guys for the feedback. Capt Propwash makes a valid point in that all my edits are a bit too sterile. One day I'll develop the skills to apply the appropriate "fair wear and tear". Obviously, I'm not there yet. Thanks again guys............Ziggy
