Hey

Tried doing a search for solution..can't find it..soooo..

Here it is..I did a FSRecord of a flight and then was gonna fly again with the first fsrecord as traffic..and low and behold ...as I approached the first P-51D I see the external tanks trailing like on a string being pulled along...I dropped these tanks at the beginning of the first fsrecord...so what is the solution... Shocked

If I understand correctly, I'm going to hazard a guess that "dropable objects" are seen as separate objects.  When flyuing the sim and recording, it looks good at the time, but on replay, things may lag a bit, so the dropable object will not be in the right spot.  I guess you could test that by starting your flight on the runway, and see if the tanks are in the correct possition, then start to taxi and take off, and see if the tanks stay where they are supposed to be.

Close but no cigar..while station at runway..I did the drop/remove tanks..to fly without tanks..but as I flew there they were following me..like kittens following their mother..

Again I clicked in the cockpit the two switches to remove the external tanks...so I wanted to fly without tanks on...

Here is a picture of what I mean....LOL

It's a glitch in FSRecorder. Try dropping the tanks before takeoff and save the flight. Then try opening the saved flight which should open with tanks off. Now try FSRecorder.

you didnt save the flight, then reopen it so you would not have the tanks to start with.  THEN start FSrecorder and see what happens.

do the tanks still follow you?
