IM having problems with the repeat function for some commands on my gamepad.. I use an Xbox 360 controller, and use mostly the defualt controls FSX gives for it, and by defualt FSX uses the Dpad up, and down for trim, which is nice, but I tried turning on the repeat so I dont have to press it a million times to set takeoff trim, or whatever.. I then save the control config, and it shows that repeat is turned up, but when I try to use the button, I still have to keep pressing it... the repeat does not work..

But its wierd because this only happens for trim up.. the repeat works perfectly for trim down.

So I go back and check it again, and it says the repeat IS turned up to max..

Wierd...

Anyone know whats up with that?

And also with key commands, whats the difference between increase throttle, and increase throttle QUICKLY?

ive configured the controller to Adjust throttly quickly, but it seems the same as just increasing throttle.

It is really important that I am able to increase throttle quickly (expessially on final) but after playing the game for a while the throttle control slows down, and I have to restart the sim to get it to work fast again.. I only have buttons for throttle control so it would be very nice if I didnt have to restart every time I want percise throttle control

Any ideas? thanks for the help as always !  Cheesy Cheesy

1) get a joystick. the 360 controller will not give you all the functions and control that a joystick would.

2) to your question >>> "
And also with key commands, whats the difference between increase throttle, and increase throttle QUICKLY?"  ----  INCREASE THROTTLE QUICKLY makes your throttle go from IDLE (or whatever percentage it is currently at, to 100%), whereas "increase throttle" might only make it go up 5% incrementally.

1- I kno I really need a joystick but for the time being the xbox controller is going to have to do.. Ive actually gotten exeptionally good with the xbox controller, to the point that I can even control & hover helicopters perfectly.. the only one thing is the throttle control is glitchy  Sad

and the "increase throttle quickly" seems to serve the exact same function as "increase throttle" which the controller shouldnt have any bearing on. It should be the same command be it a joystick, xbox controller, or keyboard.

and again, the controller shouldnt have anything to do with the repeat function. It should work whatever its bound to..

So what I am asking is what could be the issue with those things? please dont just say get a joystick.. because I would if I could.. but I cant right now.. but thers ppl out there that use nothing more then mouse and keyboard to control the sim and dont have any problems with it.. So thats whats got me wondering.. Shocked
