In FSX, the Lear 35 has a glow in both engines when viewed from the aft.

Anyone know what 'effect' this is in the effects folder?

Once known, do I place it the same as smoke??

Thanks for your help...

Which Lear 35? If you're asking about an add-on aircraft, please give a link to the download.

The default is the Lear 45. The glow is not an effect, it is painted on the texture.

In general, engine exaust effects (glow, smoke, afterburner, etc.) can be placed as a [Smoke_system] or [Lights] effect. They can then be controlled by standard switch or keypress. They can also be controlled by a controller gauge tied to the engine state (N1%, throttle%).

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.          Igor Sikorsky

I'm sorry- Yes, Lear 45 - that was a typo.

So, if the Lear 45 glow is painted on the texture, is there an effect file for a glow at the exhaust port of the engines that I can add to aircraft?
