What say ye? Would this be a good FSX rig? I'm currently running a Q9450 (quad core, 2.66) with a GeForce 9800 GTX+ (512 MB) with 4 GB RAM. I know this will be a definite improvement, but what I'm wondering is, will it kick some serious ass?  Wink

It's a Dell. Don't get one. Instead buy a good computer from an actual computer store that assembles them (i.e. not an OEM).

If you must get a Dell, then don't get a Radeon 5770. Instead get a GTX 560, GTX 560Ti or GTX 570.

Aside from the recommendation about the graphics card, would this be a good computer to run FSX?

I appreciate your thoughts.

Yes. This would be a GREAT computer for FSX especially if you use one of the graphics cards NNNG suggested.

i5 3570K @ 4.3GHz, ASRock Z77 Pro3, EVGA GTX 670 FTW, 8GB DDR3, 128GB Samsung 830, 500GB Seagate Barracuda, Thermaltake Armor A60, Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, Logitech K800, Logitech M510, Windows 8 Pro x64, FSX Acceleration

Excluding the videocard it should make a good FSX computer. The processor is excellent, 8gb of RAM is very good although it is of an unknown speed.

The power and quality of the power supply is not listed so it may not even be able to run a faster videocard or a new videocard might not physically fit in the case. And it's a Dell. In my experience they often used proprietary parts which can be difficult and annoying to upgrade and replace, with crap tech support and bloatware installed from the start.
