"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

Yeah, but the runway is very tricky. There is a 'gulch' with a creek in the middle of it. I think it is designed as two very short runways, one near the horse barn and one near the house.

I was not in the best aircraft for it.
(fixed)

There is also a nice float dock just west of the end of the runway at KCMW, and Lake Cushman float strip parallel to the runway on the west side.

When I first saw your screenies, I thought "what's wrong with this picture?" Then I realized - you don't have a bridge across that gully at Bear Gulch like you're supposed to - nor do you have grass along the runway, or that old guy working on his tractor. It seems that when you loaded KCMW, the installer for our ObjectFlow module didn't run properly, so you're not seeing all the dynamic objects.

To install the module, shut down FSX. Then go to your root FSX folder and navigate to "ORBX\FTX_NA\FTX_AA_KCMW\Scenery". From there, right-click "ModuleInstaller.exe" and select "Run as Administrator" (this is to make sure it has permission to execute properly). The window that pops up will ask you to confirm your FSX root path, which should already be there. If it's correct, click "Install Flight Simulator module(s)". The load FSX and try the Gulch again - you should find it significantly easier to take off and land. Wink

Thank you very much Bill. I thought it might not be as it was intended. The weird thing is, the first time I flew it, there was no bridge in the lower left corner of shot #2.

But the next time out, there was. I did not check the runway at Bear Gulch then, but I thought I might go to the ORBX forum later to check on it. I'm going to fly it again

first to see and if the bridge over the gulch is not there, will follow your instructions. Thanks again. Smiley

Edited:
I did not have to reload the module Bill, it's working fine now. Bridge over the gulch, grass, tractor mechanic, and road bridge at west end of lake are all there.

I remember having an error message when I loaded FSX for that first flight, but it went away before I could read it. Don't know what caused it, but it's fine now.

The bridge is a bit spooky when taking off in a tail dragger with a cross wind though.  Grin

Thanks.

I know. I did not quite know what to say to him. I should have thanked him for creating such awesome scenery, but I think my mind was fused from trying to figure out

what he was doing looking at my screen shots. Kinda like playing in a cover band at a modest club and seeing John Lennon in the audience.  Undecided  Embarrassed
