I've had this livery for a while, but kept forgetting it needed some base files added to the textures. I can't remember whose it is right now, but I know I got it at OzX.
Notice the lack of engine fire Pierre?
Thanks for looking.
If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Au contraire, it's just now getting broken in.

Goodly morning Larry...
Dang your shots get me going...
One of our son's was here for a free meal before going off in his C17 or with one of the Commercial suck and blows he flys part time.
I was showing him some photos and our site here at Simviation.
He was impressed I was involved a little but when we got to this post...dam... all hell broke loose...
He said that is a good shot of a "CV14" which he has endorsed amongst others on his ATR (Air Transport Rating).
I said what the hell is a "CV14"...it is a bloody Canso...a pig boat...a PBY5A or as the Brits call them, a Catalina.
Dad he said...Transport Canada in 2004 he thinks changed the designation from Canso/PBY5/PBY5A/Catalina to the designation "CV14" on all pilots licences.
You see dad he said if you told someone you flew a Canso, well unless they were from Canada, they would not know what you were talking about. The Brits and Americans call them PBY5s all variations or Catalinas.
HMM...dam college boys...it is still a pig boat...
Dad Consolidated Aircraft and Vultee Aircraft merged and became Convair and then General Dynamics Corporation got involved over time.
The "CV" is Transport Canadas designation for anything from the Convair Division and General Dynamics and the "14" is the next number on the list...
CV13...Valiant
CV44...Convair...all models
Well Larry if that makes sense to you...so mode it be...
It makes no sense to me as I checked several licences prior to 2004 and they said Canso/PBY5/PBY5A/Catalina.
Am going to check to see what else these college boys changed...
I wonder if they changed it because them college boys are not good typers...
Well Larry the college boy has flown off in his suck and blow, glad they all don't show up all at once (well maybe Christmas, Easter and my Birthday of course...
), I could not afford to feed them...
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug
P.S....sorry to get so dam long winded again Larry and I wish our kids had all been cooks...
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Great shots....cool repaint
"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

CV14 huh? Well, they can call it what they want, it's still a PBY or Catalina to me.
No apology needed Doug, I always enjoy your comments.
