The thread is here: http://205.252.250.26/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1298860700/0#0

Shows a Tweato landing made possible by the tundra tire bouyancy feature of the A2A Cub.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.          Igor Sikorsky

That's the one... How does it work? Does anyone know?

I went outside once. The graphics weren't all that great.

Burn the land and boil the sea, you can't take the sky from me.

inside your (aircraft).cfg look for section

[EFFECTS]
wake=fx_wake
water=fx_spray

dirt=fx_tchdrt
concrete=fx_sparks
touchdown=fx_tchdwn_s, 1

change the contact points as described in the first few replies, then DELETE these effects from the aircraft.cfg file.    you will land on water like it is a SOLID (land), but you will NOT get the spray or wake like it is an amphibian.

hope this helps.

I'm not so sure about the consequences of deleting those effects.
Those effects will just impact the graphical effects, not the behavior of the sim/plane/crash detection etc...
The A2A Accusim Cub with tundra tires can land on the water but I don't know if it's handled by the contact points or by the Accusim module....

if it is handled by the contact points, once you turn the tires into "floats", and remove the fx_sparks, fx_spray, fx_wake .... then you should have a tundra tire craft that is amphibian.

or look at the DHC2 Beaver contact points and see what they are and change the contact points on the cub to match.
