most of the planes i like are from FS2004 are they compatible with fsx because i always fail to download fs2004 planes  i extract the file then copy and paste to airplanes and its installed on fsx(im talking about fsx planes). then when i find a plane i like on fs2004 and it fails am i doing something wrong the only fs2004 plane successful was the Antonov-An225

1) Most FS9 planes work in FSX. Many you have to tweak some, like replacing the original panel for an FSX Panel, others have a messed up propeller which you must substitute, other than that is not common....do note that some planes "link" panels and sounds to other FS9 planes, this is usually the main cause for they not working or even showing up on FSX.....just fix that and you´ll be all right. Cool

As for the An-225, I would remind you that there is actually a real native FSX SP2 An-225 made by Thomas Ruth, with a very nice virtual cockpit. Same for the An-124 by the way.
