Caspian Sea Monster that is Wink
I finally figured out how to add boats to AI carriers Roll Eyes
Naturally, the first thing I wanted to be able to spawn is the Caspian Sea Monster Cheesy
And only the Beast should escort the Monster Wink
The Monster runs about 250kts Shocked
...
Thanks 4 looking Smiley

Add this to your AI carrier Cfg. to get the Caspian Sea monster to work with AI carriers Cool

[formation.xx]
title=CaspianSeaMonster
unit.0=CaspianSeaMonster, 0, 0

This may be old news to some of you, but it made my day  Tongue

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

FSX, we've come a long way baby! Skunk Works is an official alias for Lockheed Martin’s Advanced Development Programs (ADP), formerly called Lockheed Advanced Development Projects. Skunk Works is responsible for a number of famous aircraft designs, including the U-2, the SR-71 Blackbird, the F-117 Nighthawk, and the F-22 Raptor. Its largest current project is the F-35 Lightning II

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Man, is that a cool shot.  That Caspian Sea Monster Rocks.  But with all those old tech engines, operation at low alt for the entire flight, could you iimagine the fuel flow....  Only a fuel producing nation as the USSR was would be able to feed such a beast.

When cruising, the front engines are off, or at most, at idle.  They are only used to force air under the wings and get up to speed during take-off, then they most likely shut them down.

On another note, I'm new to AI Carriers, so I added the lines to the AI carrier config, but it's peacefully sitting there in the ocean. What am I not doing right?

Boikat, after you spawn the Sea Monster, open the AI Carrier menu again and tell it to go forward, left, right, or backwards. Naturally, it has to be going forward or back to go left or right Smiley

Thanks Doug, for the info and thanks Stephane and Harold for the comments Cool
