Where do I find flight recorder to load?

I put in the path in the form you had, corrected for my path in FSX. Now I've lost 3wire carrier addon and all acceleration aircraft and a java fails to load message. I tried to repair accleration and regain 3wire. No joy on either. Looks like I'm going to have to completely reinstall FSX.

If java is failing to load then you may just have to reinstall that.

As for flight recorder: http://www.fs-recorder.net/

I had trouble about a month ago, what i did was to turn off UAC, reboot, ran aicarrier as admin, started fsx and shut fsx down again.Checked exe.xml as there was a problem with it, I'd even forgotten about this thread and that I'd pasted my working xml file from months ago.

After correcting the xml file, ran fsx and shut it down again. turned uac back on and ran fsx again, all is ok now.

regards

Steve.

The exe.xml file:
In win7 its in C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX

From memory, in XP its
username\documents and settings\application data\microsoft\fsx

'Application data' maybe set to be hidden, you'll have to change view settings to see it
open the documents and settings folder, on the drop down menus, goto tools, folder options and the look at the view tab.
You may have to do the same under win7.

Okay I found it and I double checked it against the example for the correct layout and there is nothing wrong with it. however when I still try to run it , it gives me the permission denied message

are you logged on with admin rights?
run the aicarriers.exe as administrator with UAC turned OFF if on win7

I've been hacing trouble with AI carriers 2. i've downloaded the Java software u needed then i tried free flight over the sea in my FSX Acceleration F-18 then i pressed Shift-J which was the button that was pressed on a youtube video on how to make the carrier appear.. nothing happened. I then manually ran AI carrier 2 as administrator then retried the free flight. Still nothing Sad. I downloaded AI Carriers for the FSX Nimitz carriers i downloaded on FS shipyards. Can anyone help me out?

Kind Regards

shift and J displays the carrier menu, not the carriers, you have to select from the menu what carrier setup you want.

During flight press the Alt key on your keyboard, does the carrier menu appear?

If no carrier menu then shift and J won't do anything either.

Which version of java did you install?
32 bit or 64 bit?

Problem it works fine however the carriers fail to appear with any static air group on them and the lifts stay in the up posistion meaning I can't use them or get into the hangar. Also I was wondering if the ships and fleets are meant to be static because they stay where i put them. I don't know if their meant to be static or not.
Kind Regards

Hi, make sure you have downloaded the correct version of jre as there are two windows versions, one for 32 and 1 for 64 bit.

Look in your program files and programs files(86) for a java folder, if you have downloaded the one in program files and not the other, aicarriers will not work.

This is my exe.xml

- <SimBase.Document Type="Launch" version="1,0">
  <Descr>Launch</Descr>
  <Filename>EXE.XML</Filename>
  <Disabled>False</Disabled>
  <Launch.ManualLoad>False</Launch.ManualLoad>
- <Launch.Addon>
  <Disabled>False</Disabled>
  <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
  <Name>AICarriers</Name>
  <Path>C:\Program Files (x86)\AICarriers\aicarriers.exe</Path>
  <CommandLine>-nogui</CommandLine>
  </Launch.Addon>
  </SimBase.Document>
This is the path for my java

C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6

regards
steve
