Whom it may concern.

The Ati Radeon 5770-FLEX grfx card is the simplest/cheapest way of geting FS9/X  on 3 monitors.

I found it's grfx a bit better in FSX than my Nvidia 9800GTX

Here's my experience:-

The card costs £121.43 inc.vat & the cables below £18.55.

You need:
- Single-Link DVI-D to Single-Link DVI-D (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Belkin-DVI-Digital-Single-Link-Cable/dp/B000067RLQ/ref=s...)
- Single-Link DVI-D to Single-Link DVI-D (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Belkin-DVI-Digital-Single-Link-Cable/dp/B000067RLQ/ref=s...)
- HDMI to Single-Link DVI-D to plug in the boxed HDMI cable
(http://www.amazon.co.uk/Premium-HDMI-Cable-Gold-Metre/dp/B000GDI6FC/ref=sr_1_1?i...)

BUT, If you're on XP, you wont be able to use
more than 2 screens.

Okay so I did some googling on AMD's website and found this in the Eyefinity FAQs:
Quote: What Operating Systems does AMD Eyefinity technology work with?
At present Windows® Vista and Windows® 7 support AMD Eyefinity technology. There are plans for Linux support in an upcoming update to AMD Catalyst™ software. There is no support for Windows® XP.

So XP isn't supported for Eyefinity, unfortunately.

nichos,

I find this interesting as I too was planning to go with eyefinity and a three monitor setup.  So I purchased an AMD 6970.  Great card.  However, I could not get to look "shimmer" free.  Autogen, distant scenery, and add-on airports were having this moire effect that I just could not tweak out of it.

Do you experience this with your set up?  I did pick up an Nvidia GTX580 to compare for myself the differences.  Within a couple of hours I was able to do what could not do after several days with the AMD card.

Just curious on the "look" you are getting with the Eyefinity experience.

thx,

Clutch

Sorry if I was ambiquus friend, but as you can see at the bottom of my post, I use XP & could not run Eyefinity.

Only tried the 5770 on 1 screen & it seemed a bit better than mine, except the clouds.

Sorry I can not help you          ............nick
