I was so infatuated with the beautiful Alpha F3 and somewhat less attractive F8, that I went back to work on a scratch F8 for CFS2. Armed her with Brit bombs, slipper belly tank and the standard double stack of rockets. She's about finished except for some details and multilod and DVC. Maybe this time around I'll get her finished before I get distracted by something else. Smiley

That being said, I am tweaking up a nice FS2002 Blackburn Buccaneer for CFS2. Loaded her with a single 30mm cannon, though she had no cannon armament in reality, rocket pods modern MK84 bombs and my improved MKXIII torp along with a pair of Harpoons. The AIR file was a challenge...'cause she flew like a P-I-G with the original. (As usual, the MOIs were the culprits.) If she turns out like I think, I'll get her posted too. Wink

A very slick looking F8 there Tom. I assume the pilot is flying around looking for his missing wing roundel Cheesy

. The Meteor always was one of my favourite jets. You've really captured her lines well. Great work!

She's truly a WIP. She's been a project off and on for months because I just wasn't happy with any of the F8s in CFS2. I get discouraged from time to time and put her back on the shelf, most of the frustrating stuff is behind me now, Wink

Since I am not a good skinner, I'll send you the plane as it is now and you can work your magic on the textures. The external mapping should not change, but I am planning on adding some internal detail textures. Smiley

If you make her look pretty, I will have one less excuse to put her on the shelf again before she's complete. Grin

Bub has begun work on the bare-metal texture project for the F8. Thank heaven....'casue I paint like a two-year old....can't seem to stay inside the lines. Grin

She's still very much a WIP says Bub, but she's looking good. Roll Eyes

...and over at my little shop she's been getting new textures for her doors and bays, flaps and spoilers. Not to mention a nicely tuned AIR, CFS and DP with long range tank, rockets and bombs. And a rudimentary VC is installed, plus a start on the LOD models has been made. Smiley

Bub continues to improve both the bare metal and camo skins for the new F8 Meteor.

Me? I'm returning to the trenches from my holiday break to work on the DVC and details not visible on the exterior.....lots of grunt work. Tongue

I just uploaded my CFS2 conversion of Giovanni Clemente's Blackburn Buccaneer with DP and weps....should be available tomorrow. She has the original Royal Navy skin, as well as an alternate in Ed Snoad's Gulf War skin. One distraction down! One to go with the F8....Bub has finished the textures, so I'd best get crackin' on finishing the aircraft. Cheesy

I'm beginning to wonder if I have ADD. I have this great new F8 Meteor just about completed (multi-lod)...but can't seem to get to work on the DVC. Tongue

I need to finish this project.....oh, isn't that a pretty H6...I just have to take that for a spin. Grin
