Sprucing up some of my vintage pics. This was McGrath, AK back in '67. My wife, one year old daughter and my other baby - mother was from Wichita.

Nice photo.
Depending on the month, I was still in high school or a freshman in college.
If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Great old memories, ehh. I believe that was the year I quit the church quiz team and started wearing leather jackets. Looks like quite a nice plane!
Flying with twins is a lot of fun..

Eighty five horsepower from four opposed cylinders - almost too much
. Trivia question for Canadians. That's a 'Mary Maxim' sweater my wife's wearing - ever hear of them?

I did have one, in the 70's. Got it as a Christmas gift. It had a native Thunderbird pattern on it and was hand knitted from a Mary Maxim pattern. I think MM is still around.

At one time, almost everyone in McGrath had one - came as a DIY kit. Another great Canadian thing was the Eaton's catalog - their stuff was the best.

Depends on what you like - I've known people who would rather look at scantilly clad women than airplanes. Their loss is our gain

Truth be known, I suspect the aircraft purchase had quite a bit to do with being able to travel somewhere she could buy more clothes, etc.

After forty eight years with that woman, I've learned how to negotiate

I commend you... for the forty eight years and the 'education'.
