I have a friend who is selling a 1973 Cessna 150. If any of you are interested or know anybody who might be, info is below!

1973 Cessna 150L LOW TIME! 33.3 SMOH 71.9 hours on PROP
...

I am selling this aircraft since I really don't get to fly it very often.
You can see that I have only put 33 hours on the engine in last 3.5 years.

* Engine Overhaul completed on 6/22/2007. There is 33.3 hours SMOH.

* Annual was completed 4/2010. All AD's in compliance at the time of the annual.

* Propeller replaced on 12/20/2005 with a NEW Sensenich "Cruise" prop. Propeller has 71.9 hours since new.

* Original NAV/COM replaced with a Michaels MX300B digital flip flop slide in replacement.

* I had a PS Engineering intercom put in. You can see it under the Loran unit in the center of the instrument panel.
The LORAN needs to have the antenna's adjusted. It never picks up a signal, but the VOR unit with the NAV/COM works well.

* You can see in the pictures that the seats can use some work. I believe that they can be recovered for about $500, but they are still comfortable as is.

Here is a little history of the plane.
* The aircraft had a prop strike in 1991 when it hit a deer on take off. At that point the insurance company listed the plane as not airworthy. It was put back in service in 1995.

* I purchased the airplane in May2005 as a student pilot with the annual due in September. When I had the annual inspection done, it took 3 months and $10,000. The propeller was sent off and found to be out of tolerance, so I had it replaced with the current Sensenich cruise prop.

* It has been tied down outside at Front Royal (KFRR) in the 5.5 years I have owned it, so the paint is faded some.

** Please contact me with any questions or picture requests and I will respond as soon as possible. I should be able to make myself available the weekend of 11/6 for an in person inspection. Just schedule something with me. The outside can be viewed anytime by stopping by KFRR. It is tied up close to the terminal.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Loran was being shut down, which may explain the system not getting a signal.

I could do it for ~$5,000  but for a plane in that condition and age I could get an ultralight almost new. Undecided

It's a good price; wish I had the scratch. Might make a decent IFR trainer if the now-useless Loran* was replaced with another VOR with a glideslope.

* Yes, Loran-C was decommissioned in the US...
