I can't seem to access Yahoo at the moment, it was fine earlier, and I've never really had this problem with them.

Is anyone else able to get to Yahoo?  Huh

I'm sorry I didn't inform you about my trip,I had a trip to the United Kingdom(Buckinghamshire) and a bizarre thing happened to me.I was mugged at gun point last night, it happened at the park of the Hotel were i lodged but thank God i wasn't hurt, the muggers carted away with all my belongings excluded my passport. Cell,c-card,cash and some important documents are all gone. I was able to make contact with the Uk Police and i was directed to the Embassy, but they seems to be taking things too slow.

I need a quick loan to get things fixed out here, I promise to refund as soon as i get back home.. please reply asap. so i can tell you what to do and how to get the money to me..

I called her at work and she was safe where she was suppose to be, in the USA.

She's pissed to beat the band and is trying to get the UK authorities and Yahoo UK involved.

Seems the account is also linked to her job as a financial assistant of a local church in her area. It appears the idiot tried to use this also as a means by which to take advantage of people.

It is in the air at the moment. Last week I apparently bought a camcorder for $450. The first I knew about it, my paypal account was blocked due to "out of character purchases". My account had been hacked and used for the above purchase. Fortunately paypal could see it was fraud and I was refunded within hours. Sadly the company that "sold" the camcorder was not so lucky. Using the details in my "purchase" I was able to give them the heads up too, but they had just posted the item. Paypal did try to blame me at first, but it was them that had been hacked. I did not receive a single email from them about the purchase as one normally gets minutes after buying. So it was a complex scam that diverted or stopped their email. Anyway, I got my money back and now used the cell phone log in, they text you an access code as an extra level of log in.

I have never been one to advocate or involve myself in violence, save for self defense or defense of a family member. But I am about ready to change my ways when it comes to hackers and identity thieves. Maybe they should be treated the same as terrorists.  Angry

Yahoo.ca seems to be working at the moment, maybe its been fixed by now.
Online isn't the only target for identity theives. 5 or 6 weeks ago someone cloned my debit card and tried to clean me out, but the bank caught it and rendered my debit card useless.

I clicked the link and got informed it couldn't be accessed... "need to watch something else..."
As to the yodelling, that was something my mom still did on occasion when I was knee-high to an infant grasshopper; I wasn't born when she and my aunt sang, guitars in hand, over local radio (although I once had a 45-size record of them from that era).

Cool

Even as a retail organized crime investigator, I was ID thieved late in 2008.  Fortunately for me I was able to amass my buds and we had badguys in Federal custody in a couple weeks.

That was the good part!

The "bad" part was the most the ringleader got was four months prison time.

But as of just last week, all of them had violated terms of their probations and paroles and now are gonna be 'guests' at an all-inclusive Federal penitentiary for the next seven to ten years.

That was the more 'funner' part!

But the absolute best part was getting to be the door-kicker when we located the last of the group!  The looks on their faces was genuinely priceless........especially when it's a 4 a.m. wake-up call! Cheesy Smiley Cheesy

My fave was the "REMEMBER ME [expletive deleted]!!!" part of the wake-up 'call'. Cool

And he did in fact recall seeing me during his previous court appearances.
