Goodly morning all.... Wink

The last two days I have been trying to replicate the Northern Lights as I and the family remember them.

FSX does seem to have them as you can see in the Freeware Post "Northern Light Part Two".

As I mentioned in other posts I hope the new Microsoft Flight does a better job of replicating the Northern Lights.

We used to watch the Northern Lights from our home in Southern Ontario on the Trent and growing up we would lay on the river bank or the docks with our parents and grandparents sitting around an open fire.

We would see the Northern Lights many times throughout the year and when I started to fly scheduled flight in Northern Canada we would see them all the time... Wink

How would I describe them...Just Awesome... Grin

When our children were growing up we would do the same thing, sit on a dock or on the river bank around a fire and watch the free light show.... Wink

That was not the only free light show we would watch.

We would watch Fireflies for hours and even catch them in a glass sealer to try and make a lantern... Grin
Awesome fun, better than television anytime.... Wink

Here is a Link to the Firefly I am talking about:

Not this Firefly: Grin

If you enjoy a great light show well there is two examples for you... Smiley

Ahhhhhh Fireflies ......... I have a rather enchanting memory of a night walk in the depths of West Virginia years ago. The path we were walking along went into a clearing surrounded by a mountain on one side and trees on the other sides. I think it must have been the height of the breeding season as the whole of the field was filled from ground to about 6ft with Fireflies. It was like walking through a 3d hologram of the universe. We all stopped and watched it for so long that they sent a search party out from our destination fearing we were lost. Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
