Simviation Forum - Better readable gauges in CFS2 3D Cockpits?

Hi mates,
After long time returning to CFS2...any better readable gauges for 3d cokpits? (standard planes) We can find a lot of 2d cockpits on the net but not better 3d ones...

Thanks in any advice on the matter!

PS:
I'm also playing in a WS 26" monitor...ok, all the 3d views are ok out the box (what is already a very good thing for such old game!)...only the 2d cokpits are stretched.
I tryed to find something on the net for this WS issue but ended making my own 2d WideScreen cockpits...now the game is ready to go! Wink

If someone want them i can post somewhere (for now just the wildcat and corsair are really finished).

Welcome back! Smiley

The VC (3D cockpit) and DVC (working instruments), unlike the 2D Cockpit, is part of the MDL file itself. So unless you have access to the source file, you really can't do anything to modify them...other than change some instruments in the DVCs. Roll Eyes

That being said, there are many new third party models out there for download that have beautiful DVCs. Wink

So, i understood that we (the community) have new "default" planes made by moders that have improved 3d cockpits?...I will look for them!

By the way, I was trying to find the Stiz PTO textures pack V4 but the link is dead here on simviation (and I tryed to find on the net but no luck). Someone have new link for this one?

Also, any tip to activate these new textures - I mean: is´t necessary to activate them into the Scenary activation screen into the game or they will just replace textures?

Just go to the main SimV page and type Stiz in the Search block. You'll get a page with links to all of his files. Read the instructions on activating the scenery...you do have to do that.

The link is dead. If you tell Pete he can fix it (hopefully). The file name is tex_v4.zip

I see that the link to ver. 3 textures is OK, but the one to the ver. 4 file is truly dead.

I've put a bug in Pete's ear about this. I'm sure he'll correct it very shortly. Wink
