Hi everyone,

Been a member here for a while, posted here 6 years ago. I came here to show off the latest offering in freeware helicopters Wink

FSX version

FS9 version
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4090/4947837494_4737284f37_z.jpg

FS2004 exterior almost complete, VC work will then start and should be released sometime before the end of the year hopefully. FSX version started recently and will be released sometime early next year.

Right now, I could use more hands in the gauges, paintkit area. Anyone wishing to help, let me or BrandonF know since he is showing the ropes of gmax.

The model started life in 3DS Max by Alan Devins as his version 2 of his original 222, the model now lives in gmax and will be completed there.

For those that are not following the development of this helicopter, please visit http://www.eaglerotorcraftsimulations.webs.com/ for continuing developments plus some more info on our other helicopter projects we have planned.

Thanks guys!! Means a lot coming from you, pete! I'm very lucky to be part of the development "team" for the project. My job mostly consists of modeling help, as this is George's first Gmax project.

Cool

Looking very cool, can't wait to fly that bird!
Oh, and here's a smaller URL if you want it: http://tinyurl.com/ERsims.

Edited:
Oh, and I might be able to help with repaints, if needed.

The link in George's original post is clickable, so I don't think the shorter link is needed.  Wink

As for repaints, we've already got many offers. If we need another painter, we'll be sure to tell you, though!  Cool

@George: Screenshots too large. Limit on SimV is 1024 pixels wide.  Wink

@Ethan. We did not build the model. It was by Alan Devins and being made in 3ds. He released the source files and me and George converted the .max model to a .3Ds model so we could work in Gmax. We had to fix lots of things and remap/animate parts. Most of the model was not "built" by us.

Cool

As for test pilots, well lets just say that I release beta packages every now and then...hopefully this weekend I'll be able to release a new beta and the first beta of the FSX native model. Stay tuned Cool

This is a fantastic piece of helicopter modelling. Congratulations. As I said already, I can't wait to see the final version, because this aircraft is my overall favorite chopper in real world.
(can't wait to see a black and white repaints as well Tongue )
