Does not surprise me that Airbus comes up with this.
Here's the thing. Where does the support come from? All the wires, systems, etc would have to be completely transparent too, or there won't be much of a view. The technology that they want to use is almost impossible. Not a good idea...for now. We'll see in 30-50 years if this is possible.

We already have that capability in FS.
If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

I believe it was just an idea for what could happen in 40 years of their company.
I don't doubt something like this could be done, but would people want it to be done?
